1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Veriglob Ltd. ("Veriglob," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Veriglob website, APIs, SDKs, documentation, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Services.
Important: If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Services
Veriglob provides an open-source, decentralized identity protocol and related services, including:
- Protocol Core: The open-source decentralized identity protocol for creating DIDs and verifiable credentials.
- SDKs: Software development kits for Go, TypeScript, Flutter, and other platforms.
- APIs: Application programming interfaces for credential issuance, verification, and revocation.
- Developer Portal: Documentation, tutorials, and tools for building with Veriglob.
- Enterprise Services: Managed hosting, support, and compliance services for organizations.
The Services may be modified, updated, or discontinued at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features of our Services, you may need to create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Open Source License
The Veriglob Protocol Core and SDKs are released under dual Apache 2.0 / MIT license. This means you are free to:
- Use the software for any purpose, including commercial applications
- Modify and create derivative works
- Distribute copies of the original or modified software
- Sublicense the software to others
The open-source license terms are governed by the respective license files in our GitHub repositories. These Terms govern your use of our hosted Services, APIs, and enterprise offerings, which may have additional restrictions.
Note: While the protocol is open source, certain enterprise features, managed services, and premium support are subject to separate commercial terms.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Use the Services for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent activities
- Issue false or misleading verifiable credentials
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim affiliation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
- Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Harvest or collect user information without consent
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) in a manner that exceeds rate limits or causes harm
- Circumvent security features or access controls
- Use the Services to violate the privacy rights of others
- Use the Services in any way that could damage our reputation
Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and access to Services.
6. API Terms and Rate Limits
Access to our APIs is subject to the following conditions:
- API Keys: You must use valid API keys for authenticated requests. Keep your keys confidential.
- Rate Limits: API usage is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier. Exceeding limits may result in temporary throttling.
- Fair Use: Do not abuse the API in ways that negatively impact other users or the stability of our infrastructure.
- Attribution: Where required by your agreement tier, provide appropriate attribution when using our Services.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

- The Veriglob name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Veriglob Ltd. and may not be used without permission.
- Our website content, documentation, and proprietary tools remain our exclusive property.
- You retain ownership of any applications or products you build using our open-source tools.
- Feedback, suggestions, or improvements you provide may be used by us without obligation.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
If you use our Services to process personal data of third parties, you are responsible for ensuring such processing complies with applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
9. Payment Terms
For paid Services:
- Billing: Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, as selected.
- Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards and bank transfers for enterprise accounts.
- Taxes: Fees do not include applicable taxes, which you are responsible for paying.
- Price Changes: We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Changes apply at the next billing cycle.
- Refunds: Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated in your agreement.
- Late Payment: Overdue amounts may incur interest at 1.5% per month or the maximum legal rate.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:
- The Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Any defects will be corrected
- The Services will meet your specific requirements
- Results obtained from using the Services will be accurate or reliable
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERIGLOB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
In no event shall our total liability exceed the greater of: (a) the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Veriglob and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any applications or services you build using our Services.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Services immediately ceases
- We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period
- Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect (e.g., intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification)
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through:
- Informal Resolution: We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any issues informally.
- Mediation: If informal resolution fails, either party may initiate non-binding mediation.
- Arbitration or Litigation: Disputes not resolved through mediation may be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of England and Wales, at the claimant's election.
15. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Services.
16. Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Veriglob regarding the Services.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations freely.
- Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
