Verify Identity Without Collecting Data

An open-source, chain-agnostic identity protocol that enables cross-border trust, privacy-first verification, and regulatory compliance—without storing personal information.

Privacy by Design

Users control what they share. Verifiers never store personal data.

Regulation-Friendly

Built for compliance, audits, and regulatory interoperability.

Chain-Agnostic

Works with or without blockchain. Future-proof infrastructure.

Today's Identity Systems Are Broken

Centralized identity databases create massive risks for individuals, institutions, and entire economies.

Data Breaches

Billions of records exposed annually. When institutions store your identity, they become honeypots for attackers.

Repeated KYC

Users submit the same documents dozens of times. Inefficient, frustrating, and increasingly risky.

Regulatory Burden

Compliance teams struggle with data retention, cross-border regulations, and audit trails.

No User Control

Once you share your data, you lose control. You can't revoke access or know who has your information.

The Veriglob Solution

Decentralized identifiers and verifiable credentials enable a new paradigm: users share cryptographic proofs, not documents.

Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs)

DIDs are self-owned, globally unique identifiers that users control completely. No central registry. No intermediary. Just cryptographic ownership.

  • Users create and manage their own identifiers
  • Works across any platform or service
  • Cryptographically verifiable and tamper-proof

A self-sovereign identifier controlled entirely by the user

Issuer: Government of Nigeria
Type: ID Verification
Status: Active

Verifiable Credentials (VCs)

Credentials are cryptographically signed attestations from trusted issuers. Users hold them privately and present only what's needed.

  • Selective disclosure: share only necessary claims
  • Tamper-evident and cryptographically secure
  • User consent required for every verification

How It Works

A simple, privacy-preserving flow that puts users in control

1

User Creates Self-Owned Identity

A user generates a DID using Veriglob's open-source tools. The DID is stored locally on their device—Veriglob never sees or stores it.

2

Trusted Issuers Issue Credentials

Governments, banks, universities, or employers issue verifiable credentials to the user's DID. These credentials are cryptographically signed and tamper-proof.

3

Verifiers Request Proof

When a fintech, government, or service needs to verify identity, they request a cryptographic proof—not the underlying documents or data.

4

Zero Personal Data Stored

The verifier receives cryptographic proof that the claim is valid. No personal data is transmitted or stored. The user retains full control and can revoke access at any time.

Privacy by Design

Advanced cryptographic techniques ensure maximum privacy and user control

Multiple DIDs

Users can create multiple DIDs for different contexts—work, personal, healthcare—preventing cross-service tracking and correlation.

Pairwise Identities

Unique identifiers for each relationship ensure unlinkability. Services can't correlate your activity across different platforms.

Selective Disclosure

Share only the specific claims needed. Prove you're over 18 without revealing your birth date. Prove income without sharing bank statements.

What Verifiers Can and Cannot Store

Verifiers Can Store

  • • Proof that verification occurred
  • • Timestamp and verification status
  • • Credential issuer information
  • • Audit trail for compliance

Verifiers Cannot Store

  • • Personal identity documents
  • • Biometric data
  • • Credential contents or claims
  • • User's private keys or DIDs

Built for Regulation

Veriglob supports compliance, audits, and regulatory interoperability—not in spite of decentralization, but because of it.

Data Minimization

Meet GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations by collecting only cryptographic proofs—not personal data. Reduce liability and compliance costs.

Trust Registries

Governments and regulatory bodies can maintain registries of approved issuers and verifiers, ensuring only trusted entities participate.

Audit Trails

Complete, tamper-proof audit logs of verification events enable regulatory compliance and forensic analysis without exposing user data.

Cross-Border Interoperability

Policy-based verification enables different jurisdictions to define their own rules while maintaining global interoperability.

"Veriglob doesn't replace governments or regulators—it provides the infrastructure for them to operate more efficiently, securely, and with greater respect for citizen privacy."

Chain-Agnostic Infrastructure

Veriglob works with or without blockchain. You choose the level of decentralization that fits your needs.

Blockchain as a Witness, Not an Owner

When you choose to use blockchain, Veriglob anchors cryptographic proofs—never personal data—to provide immutable verification history. Your identity remains in your control.

  • Optional anchoring to Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, or others
  • Works entirely off-chain if preferred
  • Future-proof: add new chains without protocol changes

Why Chain-Agnostic Matters

Technology evolves. Regulations change. Veriglob's neutral, adaptable architecture ensures your identity infrastructure works today and remains compatible with whatever the future brings.

Built for Developers

Quick Start Example

import { VeriglobClient } from '@veriglob/sdk';

// Initialize client
const client = new VeriglobClient({
  apiKey: process.env.VERIGLOB_API_KEY
});

// Verify a credential
const result = await client.verify({
  credential: presentedCredential,
  requiredClaims: ['age_over_18', 'country']
});

if (result.verified) {
  console.log('User verified:', result.claims);
}

For Institutions & Governments

Veriglob integrates seamlessly with existing systems while providing a path to modern, privacy-preserving identity infrastructure.

Sovereignty & Control

Maintain full sovereignty over your identity infrastructure. Veriglob provides the protocol—you control the policy, trust frameworks, and governance.

  • Define your own trust registries and approved issuers
  • Set jurisdiction-specific verification policies
  • Maintain operational independence while enabling interoperability

Long-Term Neutrality

Identity infrastructure must outlast any single company or government. Veriglob's open-source, standards-based approach ensures long-term viability.

  • Based on W3C DID and Verifiable Credentials standards
  • Open governance model prevents vendor lock-in
  • Community-driven development and transparent roadmap
